Thanks to the support of our Incubators - ZeShan Foundation and Ho Cheung Shuk Yuen Charitable Foundation, Happy Ageing Lab collaborates with School of Architecture CUHK and CUHK Jockey Club Institute of Ageing to organise a bottom-up participatory design programme which aims at identifying the key attributes of age-friendly housing for promoting older adults' well-being and supporting ageing-in-place and intergenerational living in the context of private housing estates. In the past 4 months, elderly docents and kaifong from City One Shatin, built environment professionals, and student volunteers has come together and formed a think tank. and co-designed different ideas for an age-friendly living environment in City One Shatin, as the pilot study for the Hou² Living Gallery Project.
